Sandy Slaton, , earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University and a Juris Doctor from Seattle University. She is a Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management and has nearly a decade of enterprise risk management experience working in acute care hospitals and clinics that are part of multi-specialty health care systems.

Sandy is the past president of the Washington Healthcare Risk Management Society (WHCRMS) and a registered nurse of 35 years. She has served as a flight nurse and educator at Airlift Northwest and has held nursing and education positions in PACU, Emergency Department and ICU at hospitals in Western Washington, California, and Texas.
