April Brown
Auctioneer
April Brown is a woman of many “firsts” and her work is a record of her adventurous life. She’s owned a restaurant, worked as a carpenter and standup comedienne and is one of the first women in the 1970’s to begin a career in law enforcement as a patrol officer. In 2008 she started Charity Getaways, a travel consignment company to help her clients raise more money. Her passion for people and the planet is rooted in a perspective gained from her travels. April’s love of animals prompted her to establish Whisker City Cat Rescue, a feline rescue organization in Shoreline, Washington.
She is the author of Poetic Justice, an exposé on the world of internet copyright trolling. When April isn’t traveling the country conducting auctions she’s circling the globe searching for travel destinations for Charity Getaways. She makes her home in Shoreline with her pets and endless home improvement projects.
